A lacto-ovo vegetarian is someone that refuses to eat meat but still eats meat products like eggs and dairy products like milk. A Lacto vegetarian on the other hand, do not eat any kind of meat but eat dairy products while an Ovo vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat but do take eggs. Another type of vegetarian is the Vegan; this is most dedicated type of vegetarian because not only that a Vegan does not consume any meat, meat products and dairy products, but a Vegan also refuses to wear anything that is made of animal products.
A traditional vegetarian diet is mostly including fresh fruits and vegetables. But since getting veggie is very common these days, many restaurants have been including vegetarian diets in their menu.
There are plenty of benefits one can get from a healthy vegetarian. Vegetarians are most likely to suffer less from common chronic diseases and their bodies are a healthier and stronger. Their diets do not include meat and meat products that are high in saturated fats that happen to be one main reason for having a heart disease. The diet consists mainly of food that are high in soluble fiber which means lower cholesterol levels. Fruits and vegetables are power antioxidants that helps in the prevention of blood clot formation and they have anti-flammatory substances. It is a well known fact that cholesterol is only present in animal products therefore a healthy vegetarian diet is cholesterol free.

A good vegetarian diet has higher levels of vitamins and minerals than meat-based diets. Vitamins C and E are highly present in green-leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts. These vitamins are essential in sustaining a healthy heart, skin and hair. They are also responsible in keeping the immune system in functioning well. Phytonutrients are also present in these diets and they act as antioxidants that are known to be good at fighting certain cancers and they prevent the formation of cataracts.
A healthy non-meat diet is also known to be good at lowering the possible occurrence of breast cancer and it lowers severe menstrual syndrome that most women are suffering from.
It also contributes to a person’s excellent over-all health and provides a good quality of life. The low sugar quality of vegetarian diets is one reason why vegetarians are healthier; they also do not suffer from being overweight and being diabetic. Vegetarians also have higher resistant from common bacteria and synthetic hormones.
